Why Pakistani cards get declined
- International online transactions are commonly disabled by default and need to be enabled per card, sometimes in person.
- Freelancer and student accounts often carry lower foreign-transaction limits than the bank advertises.
- Some AI and developer tools do not support local payment methods at all, leaving no card route.

Which Pakistani cards will never work abroad
These are card schemes, not individual banks. A scheme is a stable fact: if your card is on a domestic-only network, no setting, app toggle or phone call makes it work on a foreign checkout.

- Pakistan's domestic card scheme. PayPak cards operate on the local network and are not accepted by international checkouts.
- Cards needing international activation
- Many Pakistani debit cards can do international e-commerce, but only after it is explicitly enabled — sometimes requiring a branch visit rather than an app toggle.
Paying in crypto from Pakistan
- If your bank can enable international e-commerce on your existing card, do that first — it costs nothing and beats any reseller.
- Compare the available native routes because network fees vary. Confirm the network in both the invoice and your wallet before sending; a wrong-network transfer is not recoverable.
