Streaming Gift Cards — Buy with Crypto
Netflix and Spotify gift codes for crypto. Both are region-locked to the United States: the code only applies to an account billed in the US. If your account is billed elsewhere it will be rejected, so check before paying.
Why does my Netflix account's country matter more than where I live?
A Netflix account carries a billing country, set when it was created and tied to the payment method. Gift codes apply against that country, not against where you are sitting, not where you are watching from, and not what your IP address says.
This is the reason the overwhelming majority of Netflix gift codes get rejected: someone in Morocco or Algeria buys a US card because it is the one commonly available, and their account is billed locally. The code is perfectly valid and completely unusable.
Check the billing country on your account before you buy anything. If it is not the United States, a US card will not help you, and we would rather say that than sell you one.
How does Spotify's account country work?
Spotify registers your account to a country and prices Premium against it. Gift codes match that registration. Account country generally cannot be changed while a subscription is active, which creates an awkward trap — the card fails, so you want to switch to a code, but the code has to match a country you cannot currently change.
Spotify has also historically expected users to keep their account country current when they move, and has enforced checks on accounts that appear permanently based elsewhere. Paying from abroad is more fragile here than it first looks.
Does streaming credit expire or run out?
Netflix credit sits on the account and is drawn down against your plan price each month, rather than buying a fixed number of months. A larger card simply lasts longer, and if you change plan the same balance covers fewer or more months accordingly.
Spotify codes convert to Premium time at the current plan price for your country. In both cases the vendor's terms govern expiry, not ours — US credit generally does not carry an expiry date, but that is their rule to change.
What if I am already paying by card?
On both services, gift credit is normally consumed first and card billing resumes when it runs out. That is convenient if you want continuity and unhelpful if your goal was to stop being billed.
If you want billing to stop entirely, cancel the card subscription as well as redeeming the code. Redeeming alone does not cancel anything.
