Buying gift cards and subscriptions with crypto in Nigeria
Nigerian naira cards are widely limited or disabled for international transactions, and monthly foreign-currency spending caps make recurring subscriptions unreliable even when a card works. Crypto-funded gift codes are the common alternative.

Why Nigerian cards get declined
- International spending limits on naira cards are low and change without much notice, so a card that worked last month may fail this month.
- Some banks disable international online transactions on debit cards entirely, offering a separate dollar card product instead.
- Recurring subscription charges fail more often than one-off payments, because the limit is consumed unpredictably.
Try the free fix first. If your bank can enable international online payments on your existing card, that will always be cheaper than buying a code from us. We would rather tell you that than take an order you did not need.
Which Nigerian cards will never work abroad
These are card schemes, not individual banks. A scheme is a stable fact: if your card is on a domestic-only network, no setting, app toggle or phone call makes it work on a foreign checkout.
- Verve
- Nigeria's domestic card scheme. Verve cards work locally and are not accepted on most international checkouts.
- Naira debit cards on international networks
- These carry an international brand but have historically been subject to low monthly foreign-currency limits, and several banks have suspended international use on them entirely at various points.
Paying in crypto from Nigeria
- Peer-to-peer crypto is well established locally. Use escrow, check counterparty history, and never release funds before the trade completes.
- If your bank offers a dollar card and you can fund it, that will usually be cheaper than buying gift codes from us. We would rather say so than take the order.

Questions from Nigeria
Why did my naira card stop working internationally?
Nigerian banks have repeatedly adjusted or suspended international spending on naira cards in response to foreign-exchange pressure. A card that worked last quarter can be restricted this quarter, through no change on your side.
Should I get a domiciliary or dollar card instead?
If your bank offers one and you can fund it, that is genuinely a better answer than buying from us — it is reusable and cheaper. We would rather tell you that than take the order.
Is peer-to-peer crypto trading safe in Nigeria?
The market is large and well established, but counterparty risk is real. Use escrow on a reputable platform, check trading history, and never release funds before the trade completes.
Which gift cards do Nigerians buy most from you?
AI subscriptions and Steam credit, mostly. Amazon is popular but region-locked to the US storefront, so check that it is the site you actually shop on.
What we have not verified
International limits on Nigerian cards change frequently and vary by bank; we do not track them and would not publish a number we cannot stand behind. Check your own bank's current position.
