Buy gift cards and AI subscriptions with USDC
USDC behaves like USDT for paying us: dollar-pegged, so the invoice amount is exactly what you send. The practical difference is availability — USDC is easier to obtain through regulated exchanges, and harder to find on peer-to-peer markets in some of the countries we serve.
Why pay in USDC
- Dollar-pegged, so matching the invoice exactly is trivial — there is no mental arithmetic and no rate to watch.
- Its issuer publishes regular attestations of reserves, which some people prefer over the alternatives. That is a reason to hold it, and it costs you nothing here.
- Widely available on regulated exchanges, which matters if you are buying with a bank transfer rather than peer-to-peer.
Availability, not mechanics
USDC works exactly as you would expect once you have it. The difficulty is upstream: in several of our markets, local peer-to-peer liquidity is concentrated in USDT, and USDC either trades at a worse spread or is not offered at all. If you are buying crypto specifically to pay us, check what your local desk actually quotes before deciding.
Sending it without losing money
- Send on the network shown on the invoice. USDC exists on many chains and the addresses are not interchangeable.
- Exchange withdrawal fees are deducted from the amount sent. Add a dollar or two so the payment does not land short.
- If your exchange offers USDC on multiple networks, the cheaper one is almost always the right choice — the token is identical.
